Continental – Traffic Signal Trajectories

Continental – Traffic Signal Trajectories

Design and execution of comprehensive simulation studies in urban environments to evaluate the interaction of future mobility concepts with different configurations and characteristics of traffic control infrastructure. The simulations covered a broad range of scenarios, including variations in traffic density, signal control strategies, and vehicle communication technologies.

Particular attention was given to the analysis of individual vehicle trajectories and their significance for real-time traffic management and predictive mobility services. The data were systematically processed, structured, and stored in professional, scalable database architectures to enable further analysis and cross-application usability.

As part of the collaboration with Continental, in-depth consulting was provided regarding the interpretation and application of trajectory data, especially in the context of connected and assisted driving.

Additionally, a series of flexible and reusable templates for mobility impact assessments were developed. These templates were designed to cover a wide range of future-oriented mobility and automotive applications, thereby serving as strategic tools for evaluating the environmental and operational implications of emerging mobility technologies.
